4L Vacuum Investing and Casting Machine for Lost-Wax Jewellery
A bench-top vacuum investing and casting machine that combines investment de-airing and vacuum-assisted flask casting in one unit.
Its dual-workstation design, clear vacuum hood, front-mounted analogue gauge and support for casting flasks up to 4 x 7 inches make it suitable for small jewellery studios with an established lost-wax casting workflow. The machine includes a built-in 4L-rated vacuum pump and is available in separate 110V and 220V versions. It does not melt metal or perform wax burnout — a burnout kiln, suitable metal-melting equipment and other casting materials are required separately.
Voltage Selection Guide
This machine is offered in two separate voltage versions: 110V and 220V. Select the version that matches the electrical supply at your installation location. The ordered voltage must match the supply — automatic dual-voltage operation is not stated. Confirm the voltage shown on the machine's rating label before connecting power.
Best For / Not For
| Best For | Not For |
|---|---|
| Small jewellery studios using lost-wax casting | Casting flasks larger than approximately 4 x 7 inches |
| Vacuum de-airing of mixed investment | Melting gold, silver or other metals |
| Vacuum-assisted casting into prepared flasks | Wax burnout or investment-mould baking |
| Gold, silver, copper and compatible jewellery-alloy workflows | Operation without the specified vacuum pump oil |
| Studios that already have a burnout kiln and melting equipment | Locations without a stable, load-rated workbench |
| Operators trained in hot-flask and molten-metal handling | Untrained or unattended operation |
| Small-batch rings, pendants, earrings and similar jewellery components | Pressure casting or centrifugal casting |

Pro Tips
- Check oil before every session. Confirm the oil level is within the range specified in the manual. Never run the pump without oil.
- Keep sealing surfaces clean. Investment powder and dried slurry interrupt the seal. Wipe the table, chamber rim, hood edge and gaskets after each use.
- Leave adequate headspace. Investment can rise rapidly under vacuum. Use a sufficiently large mixing container and avoid overfilling.
- Match the gasket to the flask. The gasket should support the flask evenly and create an effective seal without allowing the flask to contact unstable edges.
- Release vacuum before opening. Always move the valve to the vacuum-release position before lifting the hood or removing the flask. Never force open a sealed component.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this machine melt metal or burn out wax?
No. It supplies vacuum only. A separate burnout kiln is required to remove wax, and suitable metal-melting equipment must be purchased and used separately.
Is vacuum pump oil included?
No. Vacuum pump oil must be purchased separately and added before first use. Operating the pump without oil may cause damage.
What is the largest compatible casting flask?
The published maximum flask size is approximately 4 x 7 inches (102 x 178 mm). Actual compatibility also depends on flask shape, gasket and required clearance.
Can the same machine use both 110V and 220V?
No. The product is offered in separate 110V and 220V versions. Automatic dual-voltage capability is not stated. Use only the voltage shown on the machine's rating label.
Does vacuum guarantee a complete casting?
No. Vacuum assists the process but does not compensate for poor sprue design, incomplete burnout, incorrect metal temperature or incorrect pouring technique. Correct preparation at every stage is required.
What should I do if the machine does not hold vacuum or I have a setup question?
Check hood and flask positioning, gasket condition, sealing-surface cleanliness, valve position and oil level. If the issue cannot be identified safely, disconnect the machine and contact the Tooltos team at sales@tooltos.com.
